Pattonville High School science teacher Ken Smith was selected to attend the 2017 Research Teachers Conference, sponsored by the Society for Science and the Public.
He will join 200 other science research teachers in Washington, D.C. in October to share best practices and troubleshoot challenges they may face in supporting students in independent science research. Participants were chosen by lottery and represent experience at all levels. Expenses for travel, lodging and meals are covered by the Society for Science and the Public.
