High school students qualify for international HOSA competiton

Four Pattonville High School students qualified to compete at the international HOSA (Health Occupation Students of America) competition this summer after earning awards at the state level. Sixteen Pattonville students competed in the virtual HOSA (Health Occupation Students of America) State Leadership Conference over spring break.

Two groups finished in the top 5 of their events: Seniors Jadyn Powell, Griffin Wick, Teidrick Banks and Jas Rai placed fifth in HOSA Bowl; and juniors Loudin Cato, Esther Gbloesse, Chloe Kerwin and Lauren Marsala earned first place and are international qualifiers in Creative Problem Solving. They will compete virtually at the International Leadership Conference at the end of June.

Sophomore Camille Lofland (Medical Law and Ethics); junior Diana Urbina (Pharmacology); seniors Britney Wallace and Elizabeth Mulat (CPR/First Aid); and juniors Sarah Etwaroo, India Reed, Ponon Masokano, Dominique Bradshaw (Health Career Display) also competed at the HOSA State Leadership Conference. 

Jamie Jobe is Pattonville’s PLTW - Project Lead The Way biomedical science teacher and is the club’s sponsor.
